Re: MZ80K keytops
You mean the stickers were not over the plastic but under? I had once tried to find but the only one I could find was Japanese.

They are phoneme alphabets : katakana in the first set and hiragana in the second set from columns 8 to B and their ponctuations. I believe there are some kanji symbols in column B. For instance "2020年03月22日". 年 (nen), 月 (gatsu) and 日 (nichi) respectively meaning “year”, “month” et “day”.

Re: Copying WAV files to cassette tapes
Oh you mean you try to read with the internal one to check memory fault? But as you record the program through an external tape recorder, you fail to read it with the internal one?
Let me see if I can find someone in FB to help you to make that tape.

Re: Copying WAV files to cassette tapes
Which machine? let's say it is a MZ-700. If you have MZ-711 (no tape recorder) then you should be able to use external jacks but then you must be aware of the polarity issue, volume issue and quality issue of the external player/recorder. For MZ-721/731 with the internal tape recorder, the external ...

Re: WTB: MZ80B FDD controller card
Hi John !
I have a SHARP MZ-2200 (no MZ-1T03 and no I/O box behind though) and a SHARP MZ-2500 which can run MZ-80B/MZ-2000/2500 programs (the two FDD are working!).

Re: help for a MZ-700
I have an answer. That's just a prototype only done for NTSC MZ-1500. No PAL version. No complete PCB and maybe no available PCB at all. So consider it as a difficult job. Supposedly you can program a FPGA, you would need to modify the source to make it work in PAL version. https://www.nobomi.cz/8bi...

Re: help for a MZ-700
If LSI is dead, there are some people who design a replacement chip using FPGA (GDG1500). @Martin8bity, someone seems to have a bad LSI chip. Do you think a solution is possible?

Re: help for a MZ-700
You took a big risk with the LSI the only component that you cannot replace. Let us be optimist. Have a micro-look at each pins to check there no blob connecting two neighboring pins or traces as they are very tight.
