I can comfirm that it is MZ-80AFI floppy disk interface fitted with a 3 wasy EPROM with
1) standard 700 FD
2) K & P 700 FD
3) a mini Dos system that can be set to varrious disk parameters

as I modified the card. I did a few for SUC members.
I never got round to testing or dissasembling the mini dos fully.

Hi S_U_C!

Sorry for the off-topic but I would like your opinion on this:

Do you think that an SHARP MZ1E05 FDD card works on MZ80B with signal rewiring?

I know that 80B has its own FDD controller code on board intead if the MZ1E05 on board eprom but as it uses the same chip do you think is will
be possible to work?

Thank you for your time

The K&P rom has the same functionality as the original from sharp. In addition, it has a few extensions, or still in minidos. It is possible to operate the KuP rom in a normal interface and vice versa, the original one in the K&P. The connections for the floppy are 1:1 for an AS400 Shugard drive.

In this case, someone put the original sharp and the K&P in an e-prom and made it switchable. I did similar things in my MZ800.

The picture shows the K&P controller, without ROM, since I run it on the MZ800.

What is an "AS400 FloppyDrive" in this context? The only thing Google turns up when I search for it are the IBM MidRange machines. Somehow I doubt that theyr are relevant here ... :-)
