I purchased a mz80b with disc drive and printer at the weekend and the guy said it started smoking so he turned it off.
I thought it would be the rifa caps so after replacing them I was disappointed to find out it was not them.
It is a resistor that is smoking and I am just getting a black screen so don't think the crt is doing much.
Is there a common cause for this or does anyone have an idea where to start to try and fix this.
