Is main site down for good?

So I've seen the black page of doom Is the site down for good, or just a while till you guys find better ways of protecting it?
Any idea how it got hacked? I know wordpress can be a bit problematic to keep secure, but it still possible

The Wordpress site is down for good. Too much hassle, too many hours spent on maintaining Wordpress instead of content.

Would you consider for example wiki instead so that multiple people could contribute? For example Media Wiki, DokuWiki or GitHub Wiki - in worst case it could be done that only static pages would be used.
